Dear Fellow Republicans:
Welcome to the web site of the Republican Party of Sarasota County. As members of the Republican Party we play an important role in representative democracy in our community, state, and nation. It all begins at the local level taking self-government from the Court House to the State House all the way to the White House. We invite you to become involved in helping advance the Republican Party principles in Sarasota County.
The next two years promise to be great years in Florida with Republicans leading the state from the Governor's Mansion, in the Florida cabinet, through the Florida Senate and Florida House and locally in Sarasota County. In Sarasota County, Republicans occupy 40 of 42 elected positions in the local government. Florida will be a key battleground state in the coming elections and we need to Build Momentum to insure our success in 2008.
This web site is an effort by the officers and leadership of the Republican Party of Sarasota County to outline a vision, mission, and a plan of work for the next two years to insure that Republicans remain the majority party in Sarasota County. As in any political plan, it is an evolutionary document and must be adapted for changing times and circumstances.
We welcome your comments and suggestions and encourage you to volunteer to help us achieve a Republican Victory in 2008!
